Tha Yoties

Tha 'Yoties (short for Coyotes) are a four piece Reggae-Rock band based in Flagstaff, AZ. The group is made up of members that collectively represent Tewa, Hopi, Dine, Dakota, Lithuanian, and Scottish/English heritage. Their music and message is greatly influenced by issues faced by tribes of the Four Corner states. Through the universal language of music, Tha 'Yoties are howling for the people and lands of the Colorado Plateau region.

What makes our act unique?

The individual members of Tha 'Yoties come from diverse musical backgrounds; including reggae, metal, rock, punk, hip-hop, and New Mexican folk, as well as traditional songs of Hopi and Tewa cultures. Though primarily a reggae-rock band, their influences and interests provide the band with an ever expanding repertoire of sounds to draw from. We consider ourselves to be "Edu-tainers", intertwining education about Indigenous history and culture with the entertainment of energetic and memorable performances.
