About the event


Sean Harrison is a Billboard-charted* songwriter from Fayetteville, Arkansas, best known for his humorous, quirky and self-mocking country tunes about the average guy’s stumbles and struggles through American life. He also writes the occasional sad song about suckers and losers. His style crisscrosses boundaries of Country, Americana, Folk, Rock and Blues, but Sean describes himself simply as a Southern songwriter.

For me it started in 1964. I was 5. The Beatles and Dylan did a number on me that is still reverberating. Then along came Bobby Gentry, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, and so on. I'll play bits and pieces of those influences and tell you how it all led to songs like Good Cover Story, and Halfway From Nashville.

 

I was about 11 and I was hearing Creedence Clearwater, Cat Stevens, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, some British Invasion pop hits, and I was mesmerized by Abbey Road. The…
